    - We are currently approved for 6 residents per PGY year.

  • Clinical Excellence tracks are offered in EMS, Ultrasound, and Medical Education/Simulation.
  • High procedure volume - many residents meet procedure graduation requirements during their PGY-1 year!
  • Dedicated Emergency Ultrasound rotation meeting ACEP standards (150 scans)
    - Faculty with special interests and fellowships in EM ultrasound!
  • Although not a designated trauma center, the emergency department at Southeastern Regional Medical Center treats a significant number of both penetrating and blunt trauma.
    - Our emergency department also sees a significant number of pediatric trauma.

    PGY1    $57,138.00
    PGY2    $59,093.00
    PGY3    $61,152.00 

  • Medical education stipend – $1500/year

  • Monthly cell phone stipend – $45/month

  • Monthly meal stipend at the hospital cafeteria

  • Annual white coat (1) and program jacket (1) provided

  • 21 days of paid vacation per year
