Brianna Crosby, M.D.

  • Dr. Crosby joined UNC Health Southeastern in 2016. She has served as both medical student clerkship director and Assistant Program Director before becoming Program Director of the Emergency Medicine program in 2021.
  • Dr. Crosby enjoys travel, reading, and decompressing at Disney World.

John Dorsch, DO

  • Dr. Dorsch is currently the EMS Director for the Emergency Medicine Program.
  • Dr. Dorsch's EM interests include prehospital and operational medicine, trauma management, international health, and travel medicine
  • Dr. Dorsch enjoys running, hiking, soccer, and spending time with family and friends

Katherine Fredlund, M.D.

  • M.S. in Exercise Physiology: Baylor University, Waco, TX
  • Medical school: State University of New York, University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Buffalo, NY
  • EM Residency: University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC
  • Dr. Fredlund’s EM special interests include ultrasound.
  • Dr. Fredlund is an avid cyclist and hiker.

Ben McMichael, D.O.

  • Undergrad: UNC Chapel Hill
  • Medical School: Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine
  • EM Residency: UNC Health Southeastern
  • Dr. McMichael is currently the medical student Clerkship Director for the Emergency Medicine Program. 
  • Dr. McMichael's EM interests include ECGs and emergency cardiology
  • Dr. McMichael enjoys hanging out with his wife, son, and two corgis.

Garik Misenar, M.D.

  • EM Residency: William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak, MI
  • Dr. Misenar’s EM special interests include administration, education, wilderness medicine
  • Dr. Misenar enjoys running, hiking, and being outdoors. 

Daniel Schroder, D.O.

  • Medical school: Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Glendale, AZ
  • EM Residency: Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Lumberton, NC
  • Dr. Schroder was the chief resident and a member of the inaugural residency class at Southeastern Regional Medical Center!
  • Dr. Schroder joined UNC Health Southeastern medical staff and the Emergency Medicine residency program in 2019.
  • Dr. Schroder serves as Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine program.
  • Dr. Schroder enjoys international travel in his free time.
