Didactics

Didactics are conducted every Wednesday morning from 8 am – 1 pm. This is "protected time" for all residents. At  UNC Health Southeastern, we value the importance of teaching and learning in a safe, structured environment. Residents are excused from clinical duties during this time. We have a wide range of didactic content including paper and case presentations, written and oral board review, faculty lectures, resident lectures, guest lectures, and hands-on training.  We invite our rotating medical students to join in on didactics, as well. Auditioning students have the opportunity to present an EM Case Presentation on the last Wednesday of their rotation.
