Internet Access (WIFI)

UNC Health Southeastern offers free wireless guest access to all patients and visitors. This service is available in the patient rooms, Bed Tower lobby by the parking deck and the lobby located by the cafeteria. There are also two computer kiosks available for public use in both lobbies. Two computers are also available for public access in the medical library located by the Assembly Room on the first floor.

Instructions for Wireless Laptops: Find and click the wireless signal icon which is located by the bottom of your laptop screen. A list should appear. Select the SRMCGuest network, then click the Connect button. You should now be connected to the SRMCGuest network. Once you have this connection, start your internet browser.

Disclaimer: Please be aware that the computer network for guest access will be utilized through a non-secure computer network.

Tobacco-free policy

On April 15, 2008, UNC Health Southeastern and its affiliates became tobacco-free campuses. This means that no one may use tobacco products inside any building, on the grounds of the medical center or any of its owned or leased properties.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop at UNC Health Southeastern is located in the Main Lobby and offers a variety of gifts, cards, flowers, and personal items along with coffee, drinks, and snacks for patients, visitors, and staff.

Hours of operation:

• Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Floral arrangements are available through The Gift Shop at UNC Health Southeastern by calling (910) 735-8164. 

Vending Machines

Vending machines offering beverages and snacks are located adjacent to The Gift Shop at UNC Health Southeastern and are available during times when the shop is closed.

Cafeteria

Visitors and family members may visit the cafeteria during the following hours of operation:

• Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The cafeteria does not accept cash payments at this time but will accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Apple Pay.

Newspapers

Daily newspapers are available on the first floor near the B elevators and in the Gift Shop.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care department provides someone trained to listen and offer counsel to those experiencing spiritual crisis and emotional distress. The chaplain, along with volunteer local clergy, serves the patients, families, staff and others by being available to assist as a spiritual caregiver in these times. To obtain further information and assistance, please contact Pastoral Care at 910-671-5031 from outside the hospital, or in-hospital at ext. 5031.

Chapel

A multi-faith chapel is located in the first-floor lobby of the Patient Bed Tower. The chapel is open 24 hours a day, providing a space for patients, families, staff, and others to come for worship, prayer, and reflection. Special attention has been given to religious symbols displayed. Worship and meditation materials are available to assist in personal devotion and worship.

Mail

Mail addressed to you will be delivered each weekday by a hospital representative. Outgoing mail is picked up each afternoon at the Main Information Desk. Any mail received after patient discharge will be forwarded to the patient's home address.
