Jersey Mike’s Month/Day of Giving Raises over $14,000 for UNC Health Southeastern Foundation

On Jersey Mike’s March 27 “Day of Giving,” customers were invited to visit Jersey Mike’s Subs of Lumberton to purchase a tasty meal with 100 percent of the day’s sales being donated to UNC Health Southeastern Foundation. The Jersey Mike’s team also collected general donations and offered the opportunity to round up their totals for the UNC Health Southeastern Foundation throughout the month of March.

This year’s "Day of Giving" rainy forecast did not stop our community from supporting UNC Health Southeastern.

“We are so thankful for the support of the Jersey Mike's Subs of Lumberton owners, Jamie and Daniel Terracciano, and their amazing team,” said Sissy Grantham, UNC Health Southeastern Foundation Executive Director.

With close to 450 total transactions, 214 donations, and approximately 1,100 sandwiches sold, over $14,000 was raised to support UNC Health Southeastern Foundation.

"We believe in the power of giving, not just sandwiches, but hope,” said Daniel Terracciano. “It's humbling to witness our community's generosity, coming together to support UNC Health Southeastern Foundation. Every dollar raised is a testament to our collective commitment to healing and uplifting those in need."

Jersey Mike’s Subs and customers across the country rallied to raise over $25 million to help more than 200 local charities during the company’s 14th Annual Month of Giving in March. With this year’s donation, Jersey Mike’s has raised $113 million for local charities since Month of Giving began in 2011.

“We are grateful to our UNC Health Southeastern teammates, board members, donors, local businesses, and customers who supported UNC Health Southeastern to advance healthcare in our community,” added UNC Health Southeastern President/CEO Chris Ellington.

“To the Jersey Mike’s of Lumberton team working over 200 hours to prepare or serve on the Day of Giving, we can’t thank you enough,” said UNC Health Southeastern Foundation Chair Ron Roach. “‘Giving… making a difference in someone’s life’ has been a core mission of Jersey Mike’s from the beginning and a testament to the community partner they have been and thankfully continue to be. Thank you for making a difference.”
