Laboratory

UNC Health Southeastern’s CAP-Accredited Laboratory conducts many of the tests ordered by physicians who prescribe treatment based on lab results. Medical technologists perform these tests under the direction of board-certified pathologists, physicians trained in laboratory medicine.

Also available are outpatient testing, drug screen testing, allergy testing and courier service. The Blood Bank is supplied by The Blood Connection.

Outpatient blood collection services are offered at the following locations:

Main Lab

(located inside UNC Health Southeastern)
Monday - Friday
7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Express Lab

(drive-thru collections)
Monday - Friday
6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Collection services at UNC Health Southeastern’s Gibson Cancer Center are offered Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
