Meet Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Adebayo

Orthopedic Surgeon Temitope "Tope" Adebayo, MD, has joined UNC Health Orthopedics at Southeastern Health Park and the medical staff of UNC Health Southeastern.

He completed medical school at Pennsylvania State University. He completed an orthopedic residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, 2018-2023 and a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Duke Sports Sciences Institute earlier this year.

Dr. Adebayo has special interests in sports medicine surgery, ACL surgery, meniscus, rotator cuff, hip arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, and tendon and ligament injury.

“I believe that the patient’s care and interest should always come first,” says Dr. Adebayo. “My goal is to advise and to provide as much information about the patient's diagnosis and treatment options as possible in a way that is easy to understand. My hope is that this facilitates the shared decision-making process so we can arrive at a treatment plan that works best for the patient.”
