Meet Family Nurse Practitioner Trusha Patel

Trusha Patel, FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner Trusha Patel has joined UNC Health Family Medicine at Tanglewood.

She earned both licensed practical nursing and an associates degree in nursing from Robeson Community College in 2016 and 2019, respectively. She completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fayetteville State University in 2020 and a master’s degree in nursing with family nurse practitioner emphasis from Chamberlain University in 2023.

“I am a firm believer in advocating for patients,” says Patel. “I would like to provide care that promotes wellness and increases overall patient outcomes by allowing my patients to be a part of their care.”

Her areas of special interest include geriatrics, pediatrics, and critical care.

“With the increasing amounts of comorbidities in this county, I would like to use my experience and knowledge to reduce hospital admissions and increase access to outpatient care,” she added.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking mini vacations to Wilmington.
