Meet Physician Assistant Scott Cordell

Physician Assistant Scott Cordell has joined UNC Health Orthopedics at Southeastern Health Park. He has worked in the field of orthopedics since 2008 with an emphasis on treatment of osteoarthritis as well as disorders of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle.

Cordell obtained a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2008, and a bachelor of science degree in physician assistant studies from Kettering College in 2007. He obtained an associate degree in administration/management from Excelsior College in 2002. He completed a 20-year career in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, retiring in 2003.

“I’m excited to be part of the orthopedic team affiliated with UNC Health and UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton,” said Cordell. “I look forward to helping members of the community recover from their orthopedic injuries and return to the activities of life they enjoy.”

Cordell enjoys spending time with family and in the outdoors.
