Meet Physician Assistant Ariana Tsalamandris
Physician Assistant Ariana Tsalamandris has joined UNC Health Southeastern Cardiology and Cardiovascular Care. Her areas of special interests include coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and atrial fibrillation.
She earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2016. Before entering physician assistant school in 2020, she worked as a medical scribe for four years. She earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Methodist University in December 2022.
“From the moment I could define the term ‘career,’ I knew that I wanted to become a medical professional,” said Tsalamandris. “My goal is to not only improve quality of life but to make a positive impact on each of my patients so that they can leave each visit feeling confident and comfortable with their heart health and holistic health overall. I will treat each patient as if they are my own family member and will provide complete commitment in treating them to achieve their best health.”
Originally from nearby Laurinburg, Tsalamandris could not be more excited about becoming a provider in the Robeson County area.
“Coming from a small town myself, I know just how important it is to bring quality health care to such rural communities,” she added. “Robeson County is known for having one of the most diverse populations in the state and, for that, I am completely honored to be given the opportunity to provide care to individuals of all backgrounds and ethnicities. As someone of European (Greek) and American Indian descent, I could not imagine a more perfect area to start my career.”
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, bowling, and making memories with her dog, Nala.
