Dr. Saira Saini
Plastic Surgeon Dr. Saira Saini has joined the surgeon panel at UNC Health Southeastern Surgery Center at Southeastern Health Park.
Areas of special interest within her specialty include “mommy makeover,” abdominoplasty and breast surgery.
“You could say I am obsessed with patient care,” said Dr. Saini. “I put my patients first— always—and I am constantly working on improving my service to our community.”
Originally from Gaithersburg, Md., Dr. Saini completed her medical education at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 1993. She completed a general surgery residency at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, in 1998 and a plastic surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Ore., in 2003. She also completed a fellowship in burn critical care at Brooke Army Medical Center in Houston, Texas, in 2001.
She has supported the 82nd Airborne, 1st Calvary Division and Special Forces Command, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, as a staff plastic surgeon in the United States Military from 1989 through 2009.
“I came here with the US Army to serve at Fort Bragg,” added Dr. Saini, who currently resides in Fayetteville. “After my 20 years in the military, my family made our home here. It is a privilege to serve our multi-cultural community of American patriots. My personal interests align with my values of God, family, and country.”
Dr. Saini is board certified in surgery and plastic surgery and has been affiliated with Carolina Plastic Surgery of Fayetteville since 2009.
