UNC Health Southeastern administers the first COVID-19 vaccinations to frontline healthcare workers

UNC Health Southeastern administered the first COVID-19 vaccinations to frontline healthcare workers this afternoon. Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Obiefuna Okoye was the first to receive the vaccine. Among the firsts were Respiratory Therapist Mandy Locklear, COVID Unit Nurse Merita Bullock, and MedCare Ambulance Supervisor Mike Pate. UNC Health Southeastern will continue to vaccinate frontline healthcare workers over the coming days.
