Meet Family Nurse Practitioner Holly Thompson
Family Nurse Practitioner Holly Thompson provides care at UNC Health Primary Care at the Oaks, where she leverages her 19 years of diverse clinical experience to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and quality care to the patients she serves. She provides routine health exams, preventative services, and manages chronic health care conditions. Her clinical interests include lifestyle and preventative medicine to reduce risk factors for chronic diseases.
A Lumberton native and resident, Thompson completed an associates degree in nursing from Robeson Community College in 2003, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UNC Wilmington in 2012, and a master’s degree in nursing-family nurse practitioner from ECPI University in 2020. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Board. She has worked as a performance improvement nurse, utilization management specialist, clinical documentation specialist and telemetry nurse with UNC Health Southeastern.
“Growing up in Robeson County, I understand the challenges that our community faces and I am passionate about serving the patients of this community while advocating for their needs,” said Thompson. “I am dedicated to building lasting relationships with patients, helping them to understand their health conditions, and working collaboratively with each patient to develop a successful health plan.”
